Are you passionate about using data to drive insights and innovation? Do you see your next career step being a dive into ‘all things data’ in an international, high-growth renewable energy company? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Founded in 2006, Korkia is an accelerator of the energy transition. We develop and invest in utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage together with local project developers around the world. Currently we operate in 9 countries in Europe, North America and South America and have over 20GW under development – but we are only getting started. Korkia is headquartered in Helsinki with a centrally located office, and the team works with a flexible hybrid model.
We are looking to strengthen our team by hiring a Data Analyst to help develop and enhance our data insight, working closely with our business stakeholders. At Korkia, high-quality data is central to manage and develop our business, and your contributions will be essential in maximizing our assets’ value for Korkia, our partners and investors.
In this role, you’ll take on a diverse range of tasks, from enhancing our data platform and model by integrating new data sources to validating and improving results from AI-driven tools. You’ll also conduct in-depth data analysis and quality control, ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the insights we deliver. Your work will directly contribute to refining our insight to our business. What we are looking for:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proven by the ability to transform a large amount of information from various data sources into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach toward opportunities for improvement. Taking ownership for work streams and projects comes naturally to you, and you have a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- An effective communicator and collaborator across diverse teams.
- 2+ years of work experience in data analysis/modeling, business intelligence, or a related role in the field of economics, engineering, or similar.
- Sufficient background in data and coding for scalable data development, e.g. by integrating new data sources (deep expertise not necessary), backed by a relevant Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms, and tools like Power BI
- Excellent grades in mathematical subjects in your high-school/university studies
Korkia offers you:
✅ Exciting professional growth opportunities in both technical and business-focused positions – in this role you will develop a deep understanding of the renewable energy business and data modeling that combines vast data sets and utilizes AI-based tools. We are open to developing the role according to your interests and skills.
✅ An opportunity to work with a purpose-driven team – Our highly ambitious team of renewable energy and finance professionals is driven to accelerate the energy transition and make Korkia one of the fastest-growing renewable energy platforms in the world. We are aiming to bring clean renewable energy vastly exceeding the capacity of multiple large nuclear power plants to the market. If you are motivated by working towards a more sustainable future, a ‘job with meaning’ cannot get more inherent than this.
✅ An international business setting – our portfolio currently consists of over 130 solar, battery and wind projects of industrial scale in Finland, Sweden UK, Greece, Italy, Romania, Canada, Spain and Chile. Our own team of 50 are located in Helsinki, London, Santiago de Chile and Oulu, but we work with an additional 75 local partners on a day-to-day basis.
✅ A tight knit, flexible and humane work environment – amidst the speed, Korkia’s team members remind each other that we are in it for a marathon, not a sprint. Our team members value especially the flexibility and openness of our culture, and that at Korkia, you can be yourself. Interested?
